Sensor Overview

AP-LiDAR-One is a compact and lightweight LiDAR system that provides real-time point clouds with unmatched performance and versatility.

The system contains an industrial high-grade IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), dual-band RTK GNSS receiver and a powerful embedded computer. The system is capable of processing and fusing all measurements into an accurate point cloud in real time. It also stores all raw measurements on a micro SD Card for later post-processing in our iOS app. This post-processing allows for trajectory enhancements using PPK and ground control points to produce even more accurate points clouds with absolute accuracies down to ±3 cm.

It measures only 87x95x113 mm and weight 590 grams.

Interfaces and Connectors

Main Interface Connector

This is the main connector of the LiDAR sensor. It is a high density industrial connector that provides power and communication to the sensor. It connects to one of our mounts or interface cables. See the Accessories sections for more information.

AP-LiDAR-One can be operated in different ways. From mounted on a drone for aerial mapping to directly connected to an iPad for mobile or indoor mapping. Depending on how you will operate the sensor, you might need to change the mount or cable connected to this interface.

GNSS Antenna SMA Connector

AP-LiDAR-One requires an external Dual-band L1/L2 GNSS active antenna to operate and achieve optimal results. This antenna and cable is included with the sensor and connects to this port through an SMA connector.

LiDAR Cover Lens

This is the LiDAR sensor window and is considered to be the laser aperture. During operation, the entire cover lens can be regarded as the product's laser emitting window.

SD Card

AP-LiDAR-One captures its data in a proprietary APRAW file that gets stored in an external micro SD Card. The sensor comes with a 512 GB micro SD Card that, with a logging rate of 80 Mbps, allows for more than 15 hours of scanned data.
